What personality type is Yukiteru Amano? Yukiteru Amano is an INFP personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - sp/so - 649 in Enneagram, RLUAI in Big 5, EII in Socionics.
I see lots of ISFP votes, so I’ll type out my thoughts on why he is INFP instead; the main differences are INFP uses Si and Ne, while ISFP uses Se and Ni. tertiary Si- this is veryyy obvious in Yuki. He does not like to step out of his comfort zone and try new things- he is rather shy and cautious when it comes to following rules. Also, would a strong Se user ever keep a diary? I’m sure some might exist, but I find the idea doubtful. Si users often keep lots of notes, whether on important dates or lists, just anything to help them remember things. Take his amusement park ‘date’ with Yuno as another example- we often see him being dragged around by her or her running off to get them food/drinks while he sits and waits on her (while daydreaming or imagining little ideas, which is his Ne in action)- an Se user would have much rather been right there with their partner, experiencing things and having fun. In the very first episode before the game begins, some other students discuss inviting him to play basketball with them. A dom or aux Se user would definitely have wanted to! But Yuki ignores them and later on thinks to himself that he always found excuses to get out of playing sports with others- what Se user would be happy about not getting to have fun with their peers? Also, Si users tend to be very shy and conservative- he is almost always uncomfortable with Yuno’s open acts of affection, and he finds them extremely embarrassing. His memories of when his mom and dad were together (think, the visit to the planetarium they never had as a family), are often on his mind. aux Ne- Yuki does not have the same ‘hunches’ that Ni users, like Yuno, do. Time and time again he is fooled by others because he cannot imagine the future very well. He often talks about his different ‘options’ as well, like when he saved Yuno from the Fourth, he gives a small speech about it. He makes his decisions pretty randomly, not really trying to puzzle out the motives of others (aside from Yuno, but even then he’s more just thinking of all the different things she might do depending on her mood.) Ne can be a little difficult to spot in shy INFP’s- we don’t share our excitement and ideas with others unless we are very comfortable with the person we want to share with. Nonetheless, the fact that Yuki had such a vivid imagination and thought he made up Deus and Murmur alone is a very lonely and silly Ne thing to do. Another reason he doesn’t always show us his Ne is because he often is trapped in his Fi-Si loop, especially for the entire first half of the series and even longer still. Ne can get trapped when they see too many possibilities, and we see Yuki freeze up all the time when he’s trying to make a decision.

Yukiteru "Yukki" Amano (天野 雪輝, Amano Yukiteru) is the main protagonist of Future Diary. He is the First Diary Holder and in possession of the "Observance/Indiscriminate Diary", also called as the "Random Diary" in the anime. He is the love interest of Yuno Gasai and Aru Akise.
