What personality type is Sesshoumaru? Sesshoumaru is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 8w9 - sp/sx - 854 in Enneagram, RCOEI in Big 5, LSI in Socionics.
He’s definetely Ni. Fi is apparent with his need to protect Rin. Very cold, calculating, cruel, and not swayed by emotions (Te) Except when it comes to his little one. There's also a scene in episode 17, if I'm not mistaken, where Sesshoumaru realizes that Naraku is using him to kill Inuyasha. He internalizes it and then he confronts Naraku after Naraku takes back the Shikkon Jewel. NI-TE. There are also other scenes where he's always analyzing and internalizing what steps to take and questioning everything, especially in the memory of his father and why he gave Inuyasha Tetsusaiga, becoming an obsession for him. If that's not Ni-Fi working then IDK what else to say to you. INTJs can become extremely obsessive over unanswered questions (the why's?) that they will dig, and dig, until they get their answers and finally move on - hence Meidou Sangetsuha and his acceptance towards the end of the series. His obsession is more an underlying feeling of feeling underappreciated & unworthy (that's his Fi insecurity and Te arrogance) to his father given how in Asian culture first-born are considered the future of the family name and inheritance.
Biography
Sesshomaru is Inuyasha's elder half-brother, and unlike Inuyasha is a very powerful full-blooded youkai. He initially appears in pursuit of the sword Tessaiga, which their father had created from his own fang and left for Inuyasha to inherit; although Sesshomaru also inherited a sword, Tenseiga, he feels he has no use for it since it is a healing sword which cannot wound anyone. However, the trials his father set for him would eventually lead him into the path where he would develop compassion.
