Her and Francis opposed each other because they both had very high Fe but she couldn't understand his vision at times, especially in the beginning of the show (no Ni). She lacked the vision Francis had but was better at grasping what was "appropriate" and "acceptable". They were both the kind of leaders who led with the understanding of what was best for their people, and the differences they had made them the power couple they were because they made each other see the facts the other couldn't while also holding such respect to each other. Wish we could've seen more of that and wish a couple like this actually existed in history (and Francis did not die so young allowing Mary's faith to be so unfortunate). With leaders like this the world wouldn't have suffered as much as it did.
Biography
After living under the protection of a convent since the age of nine, Mary is sent back to French court in order to secure the French-Scottish alliance by marrying the Dauphin Francis. Unfortunately, she's still just a naive young girl learning the ways of the world, and she is soon caught right in the middle of the nest of vipers that is the French court.
