What personality type is Finn Mikaelson? Finn Mikaelson is an ISTJ personality type in MBTI, 1w2 - so/sp - 125 in Enneagram, in Big 5, LSI in Socionics.
His Si was literally repulsed by what he became. It was repulsion that steered him, led by his Si and then his Fi secondary: in that being a vampire was a physically and morally uncomfortable existence for him. He despised the physical feeling of having to kill, feed on blood, experience heightened emotions, and all the newfound sensitivities and sensations that came with being undead. He also hated the idea of being an abonimation and that he represented evil/immorality in his very being and carried out acts needed to survive. Beyond that, he managed to remain devoted and dutiful to the same cause for as long as he lived (determined to cure their condition; and choosing to swear loyalty to their mother to nearly the bitter end where he only turned on her after he learned she was a hypocrite and not as ideologically committed to their cause as he was). Finn is afraid of the unknown, undecided, and undetermined. He is afraid of an undefined fate and future, which is what immortality entails. He was afraid of displeasing his parents, which is why he never stepped up as the oldest to protect his younger siblings and Elijah had to take on that mantle instead, despite being younger. He is not consumed with anger or adamant on controlling others or very comfortable with using force. He is an Se ignoring So6, not any subtype of 1. You can compare him to Elijah, who is an actual So1 absolutely riddled with shame and guilt and obsessed with control. That's the difference between So6 and So1, not a focus on morals/ethics and beliefs, which both types share as a passion. Finn latched onto a belief system and consistency out of fear. Elijah latched onto his own code and created system out of shame of being a failure of a man and morally corrupt/inferior. Which is something he tries to resolve through being an exceptionally good and loyal brother throughout his long adult life, to make up for his 'original sin' and all around character-defining shame over not possessing enough bravery as a child to save Klaus from their father as well as refusing to run away with Klaus as teens when Klaus asked; and they had the chance. Finn is not ashamed but afraid. Finn doesn't feel guilty over what's wrong with him, his choices, and his life but disgusted by what he is, the choices he feels others have forced him to make, as well as overall disgusted with his life. He regularly experiences the 6 feeling of "this is wrong," as opposed to the 1 feeling, "I am wrong."
Biography
Finn Mikaelson (Elder Futhark: ᚠᛁᚾᚾ ᛗᛁᚲᚨᛖᛚᛋᛟᚾ) was a major recurring character on The Originals. He served as the primary antagonist for most of the second season. Finn also had a recurring role in the third season of The Vampire Diaries, where he served as a minor antagonist and anti-villain. Finn was the first son and second child of Mikael and Esther. He was the younger brother of Freya, and the older brother of Elijah, Kol, Rebekah, and Henrik and the older half-brother of Klaus. Portrayed by #CasparZafer
