What personality type is Tomoe? Tomoe is an ISTP personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - sx/sp - 682 in Enneagram, RLOEN in Big 5, LSI in Socionics.
Having just re watched all of Kamisama and I own some of the manga which I read a while back and I feel confident enough to type him as a ISTP. Here are my reasons: - in the past when he was friends with the red headed demon (Akira) he would often do things out of impulse, which is him indulging in his Se, he wanted nanami so he took her, he wanted to devour her so he tried to. He never really thought farther than the now, what I want to taste and feel right now - that being said, I still think Ti is his most used function. Ti really is just a ‘lemmie go on my own and do my own thing’ kinda function, he doesn’t really seek status and power like a te user would. He doesn’t really care about being better or perfect. Most of the time tomoe is just lounging around looking for something meaningful. Drinks his sake, takes what he wants and leaves - as tomoe got older and wiser though he started to delve into other functions he could use, like his Ni for his future planning with nanami and his stubbornness to become a human so much so that he took life threatening risks - his low Fe is obvious to me because of how he lacks understanding of his own feelings. He constantly has to seek outside help to be able to understand his emotions which is not fi behavior at all. Yes hes moralistic, yes he values tradition but that was all things that were pounded into his head, he isn’t naturally that way. He didn’t care about tradition when his mind set on marrying nanami the first time. He didn’t care about morals when he went on killing sprees with Akira. In the end tomoe is a dynamic character that changes throughout the story, but he had a past and he had a present. He learned and grew and used all of his functions at one point, like any person would do. I genuinely love his character.
Biography
Tomoe tends to be cunning and sly as well as seemingly unaware of his own attractiveness but knows when to use his charms and handsome appearance when necessary to do so. He has a tendency to mock others due to him not being able to trust others that easily, such as at the beginning of the series where he said that there was no way a human girl like Nanami Momozono could be a god. He was very cold and condescending towards Nanami at first, but eventually warmed up to her and fell in love with her over time.
