Carolyn is the materialistic, ambitious, insecure, seemingly successful, lonely wife of Lester. She takes her job as a real estate agent very seriously, chanting to herself, “I will sell this house today” as she cleans the homes meticulously (Si). She's attracted to power and success; her entire life revolves around a twisted desire to succeed (type 3). "Now listen to me. This is an important business function. As you know, my business is selling an image, and part of my job is to live that image…". Her desire to seek admiration, acceptance and love through accomplishment can be seen when she berates herself "Stop it. You... Weak! You baby!" after numerous customers rejected her offer (3w2). She is very into making sure everything around her is—or at least appears to be—100% immaculate. When she and her husband almost share a moment of passion after apparently years of indifference (at best) and hostility (at worst), she interrupts it to make sure he doesn't spill beer on the couch (Te-Si). "You mean everything? You don't mind having the sole responsibility? Your husband feels like he can just quit his job?"" "Oh you don't complain? Oh please, excuse me, I must be psychotic then!
