We're all pretty much in agreement here on Gotye being an INFP 4w5, but I'll add to the discussion by explaining why he is a clear example of one. Read or watch any interview of his and in pretty much all of them he expresses that he's not someone that ever cared about fame, or pleasing a particular group of people; all he cared about was making music that he felt was interesting to him or cleverly produced and followed his "whimsical interests in different things" as he puts it. His use of Fi is apparent for example in his rejection of any and all ad money that he would've made from allowing ads on his videos (including Somebody That I Used To Know), which could've likely netted him millions of dollars in revenue, but he simply chose to outright disable them from the beginning because he was morally against the idea of it. Also, not to mention allowing students to use his music in their presentations/video projects free of charge. He also dropped a #1 hit and promptly disappeared into obscurity and hasn't released anything under the name in the 10 years since, which might be the most 4w5 thing ever lol.

Wouter "Wally" De Backer (born 21 May 1980), known professionally as Gotye (/ˈɡoʊtieɪ/ GOH-tee-ay), is a Belgian-born Australian multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter. The name "Gotye" is a pronunciation respelling of "Gauthier", the French cognate of Gotye's given Dutch name "Wouter" (English "Walter", hence the nickname "Wally").
