What personality type is Lord Viren? Lord Viren is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - so/sp - 631 in Enneagram, RCOEI in Big 5, LIE in Socionics.
I honestly believe Viren is a 3w4. In the new season (spoiler alert), when he’s contemplating his now 30 day life span with Claudia, he rambles something along the lines of “I’ve been searching my whole life for something. To prove that I’m more than what I am.” And even if those weren’t his exact words, as I don’t feel like going back and quoting him directly, his actions reflect that in how he would always convince Harrow and his kids to almost do the impossible as long as it made him stronger in magic. Examples include stealing the egg/mirror, telling Soren to kill the princes, always trying for probably years to understand the mirror, etc. He didn’t exactly NEED to do these things, but he did them because they offered challenge, and power if the challenges were completed. And I think the 4 comes out whenever he talks about how much Harrow “loved” him and always wanted him by his side. It also comes out when it’s revealed he thinks too highly of himself. I think he uses his own self-perceived originality and specialness (to himself he’s special in the eyes of Harrow, in his power in magic, etc) to elevate his own sense of superiority when it comes to power and threat.
Biography
Viren is the former High Mage of Katolis and was King Harrow's closest adviser, before becoming a traitor to his kingdom. He is the father of Soren and Claudia, and ex-husband of Lissa, as well as a powerful dark mage who follows the advice of the Archmage Aaravos. While assumed dead by his enemies, he is very well alive, after Claudia resurrected him.[3]
