What personality type is Asta? Asta is an ESFP personality type in MBTI, 7w8 - so/sx - 738 in Enneagram, SLUAI in Big 5, SEE in Socionics.

This character deserves some attention because it's messed up here. My point is that he is E8 and VFLE. For you this may be just crazy because of how messed up perception of E8 on this website and typology community overall and I'm here on this page to at least a bit turn it around and give this character a proper typing. I'll counter here two types that are popular at this page. Firstly, E3. This is really weird thing considering the reason of those votes. Most I've seen were talking about him having a goal (the same problem is on Yuno's page) and this was supposingly make Asta E3, but E3 is not particularly about goals, it's about successful image, representation of successful person that wants to deceive others with it. Asta has nothing with image stuff, it drastically contradicts most shonen protagonists like Luffy and Asta, although Luffy also has a goal he isn't typed as 3. Asta doesn't give any value and attention to how others perceive him, he just wanted to build himself through physical growth. The most noticeable trait of such protagonists is the one which is connected to E8 - Sensory-motor dominance "Beyond the concepts of lust and hedonism, rebellion, punitiveness, dominance, and power-seeking, toughness, risk taking, narcissism, astuteness, is in ennea-type VII the predominance of action over intellect and feeling, for this is the most sensory-motor of characters. The characteristic orientation of ennea-type VIII to a graspable and concrete "here and now"- the sphere of the senses and the body-sense in particular-is a lusty clutching at the present and an excited impatience toward memory, abstractions, anticipations, as well as a desensitization to the subtlety of aesthetic and spiritual experience. Same for E7 tbh, but also head triad being really far from Asta (as much as heart triad tho), Asta is very clear gut type, specifically soc8. I'll make VFLE argument later, because now I'm tired a bit and this argument is not full and doesn't explain much, but the point was to just take away E3 votes (and E7 too), so yeah. have a good time

Biography

In the world of Black Clover, practically everyone has some ability to employ mana to use magic. Asta, a boy from the forsaken village of Hage, isn't one of them. In fact, he seems to be the only person in the setting unlucky enough to completely and utterly lack magic. Even still, he hasn't given up on his dream of becoming the Wizard King, the strongest mage in the land. To compensate for his crippling handicap, Asta has trained extensively since he was 5, granting him superhuman strength, speed and stamina. Asta also wields the Demon-Slayer and Demon-Dweller Swords, mysterious artifacts containing a form of energy known as Anti-Magic that is able to nullify and cancel out magic abilities. As a result, these blades can deflect magic projectiles, cut through spells or cancel them out completely, allowing Asta to level the playing field.
