I think that Kayo’s method of dealing with her lover’s supposed infidelity in Tailor of Enbizaka—fleeing and immediately narcotizing away her negative emotions by absorbing herself in highly reflexive work—is reminiscent of a social nine. In general, she seems more inclined to suppress than identify herself with negative emotions, even when she admits to having such emotions, expressing great shame towards MA when she comes clean to her about envying her looks. I don’t see that Kayo is primarily motivated by shame, especially more than anger or fear, since the climax of her story is revealing to Kai how she’s kept her envy of his privilege in having a family publicly suppressed until the time of her current vengeance.
