What personality type is Salem? Salem is an ENFJ personality type in MBTI, 8w9 - so/sx - 268 in Enneagram, RLOEI in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.
Salem is an ENFJ. Her main goal is to divide humanity and she shows an interest in manipulating people (Fe) rather than manipulating things/systems (Te). If she had Te she would not tolerate Cinder incompentence and would never give her a chance to come back. Not only that but within her order of subordinates (at least in volume 4) she has a motherly persona toward them and values group harmony. She also tries to maipulate people into joining her side/being apathetic by playing on their emotions and insecurities promising a better future or using her immunity to her advantage (dominant Fe and inferior Ti). Salem is not a Fi inferior, if she did she wouldn't be concerned over controlling people (or in the volume 6 flashback be concerned with fooling the humans of the new era that she and Ozma are gods). Her Ti also allows her to collect information and analyse it to her advantage (like Ozpin who is an INFJ). If she was an Te dominant she would have made a major attempt to conquer Remnant (to get some results) instead of waiting until the 8th volume. Also if Salem was an Fi inferior should would have been satified with Ozma coming back. Just listen to her song "Divide" it should explain her being an ENFJ.
Biography
The narrator of the first episode and the first four "World of Remnant" videos, providing the initial exposition on the fantasy setting of RWBY. She's credited as "Mysterious Narrator" at the end of Volume 1, and finally appears in the Volume 3 finale as the central antagonist of the show. Salem leads a campaign to bring about the Huntsman Academies' downfall from the shadows, commanding the Grimm, Faunus, and humans to enact her will.
