What personality type is Max Lobo? Max Lobo is an ESFJ personality type in MBTI, 2w1 - sx/so - 269 in Enneagram, SLUAN in Big 5, ESE in Socionics.
In the manga we get to know more about his backstory, won't say spoilers, but it shows a more skeptical/black and white relationship he had with authority, specially with the police, which he trusted once (he was in jail for beating a policeman...). Also, his main motivation in the story is to discover the truth behind the government, out of a sense of extreme distrust of the authorities that sended him to Vietnam/Middle East. Not listening to what the media says, but being his own source of information. Of course he wants to help Ash and all, but his main goal isn't helping everybody and feeling wanted for it, but to have security based on facts.
Biography
Max Lobo is a major supporting character, as well as a journalist in Banana Fish. First seeing it's effects on his army friend Max, after meeting Ash in prison he then takes it upon himself to continue his investigations into Banana Fish.
