Biography
Guts, or "Black Knight," seeks vengeance for the death of his mother by hands of apostles. He appears in the one-off prototypal Berserk story- written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura. "Who else but a HUMAN... would hate you BASTARDS this much..." In comparison to his main-story counterpart, Proto-Guts is more brash and cocky. His mother was brutally killed by apostles and he holds a brand on his chest rather than his neck. There is no mention of the God-Hand like in the main story. Instead, apostles are related to "Vuana"- a god of darkness.
