What personality type is Yatora Yaguchi? Yatora Yaguchi is an ESFJ personality type in MBTI, 3w2 - sp/so - 396 in Enneagram, SLOAI in Big 5, ESE in Socionics.
He is most definitely an EXFJ. Where does this Ti come from? Please remember that Ti isn’t just intelligence or being able to asses things correctly, but an internal sense of logic. I don’t see this in Yaguchi whatsoever. Fe-Si in how he’s constantly comparing himself to others, rather then living in the moment he relies on past information to make it through. I think that’s his biggest flaw in the start. Inflexible and conservative in his mindset without even realizing it. He copied his past paintings because it’s what worked for him and felt most comfortable- step by step for Si. As the series goes on he adapts into his tertiary Ne, coming up with new creative ideas via seeing things from more angles rather then just doing the same thing over. I know it’s a stereotype that artists are Se users (ISFP being the king of all artist stereotypes) but incorporating your environment into your art/noticing things isn’t Se, that’s standard artist advice. Outside of his art being mostly physical (his habits for his art are Si-Ne honestly) I see no examples of Se usage. And if you say his Se usage is when he’s with his friends, that’s all an act. An act he was able to mimic so well because his Fe is dominant and not tertiary. Seriously, how could Ti be above Fe for this guy? Remember when Yotasuke said Yaguchi never had to choose art and he immediately burst into tears and said “He never would have said that if my art was more compelling. It hurts... it really hurts.” He is so sensitive to the emotions of others it’s genuinely comical. The praise of others is what keeps him going entirely. And before anyone says that’s his 3 enneagram, his preference for the sensitivity to the external emotions of others rather then sensitivity to physical thrill is clear. He’s enneagram 3 because he’s ESFJ, because people keep him going. Obvious Fe dominant.
Biography
Yatora Yaguchi is the protagonist of the Anime, Blue Period. He is a second-year high school student with remarkably high grades considering his delinquent lifestyle. Yatora feels like his life is dull and predictable, that is, until he comes across his senpai, Mori, painting in the Art Club. He discovers his passion for painting and dedicates his remaining school years to it, aiming to pass Tokyo University of the Arts entrance exam.
