Personality

What personality type is Kang? Kang is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 7w8 - SP7 - 792 in Enneagram, SCUEI in Big 5, ILE in Socionics.

hey! so i was the guy who previously said kang was an ESTP 7w8 (even before that 9w8) and have since changed my mind on his type! i’ve been doing a lot more research into mbti and cognitive functions and have a better knowledge on it now. as always, please don’t type characters on what vibe they give off, rather on what cognitive functions they use. and OF COURSE, i’d love receiving feedback. now, here’s my reasoning as to why he’s an ENTP and my comment under this post explain whyi think he’s a 7w8: **Extraverted Intuition (Ne)** Ne is a function that looks for patterns, possibilities, and potential connections in the world. It’s focused on exploring ideas, brainstorming, and generating novel solutions. People who lead with Ne often seem spontaneous and are great at seeing the bigger picture or approaching situations from different angles. How it applies to Kang: Kang’s ability to quickly come up with a plan to save Mashiro by giving his friends laxatives and orchestrating a rescue mission is a clear example of Ne at work. Rather than focusing on conventional or straightforward solutions, Kang opts for creative and somewhat risky methods. His mind seems to work in a way that sees all the available options and combines them in an inventive way, much like how Ne-dominant individuals operate. He’s also playful and social, which ties into how Ne users thrive on engaging with external ideas and interactions. **Introverted Thinking (Ti)** Ti is concerned with internal logic and seeks to understand how things work on a deeper level. It tends to prioritize consistency, accuracy, and problem-solving by building frameworks that make logical sense. It often works in the background, analyzing and refining ideas. How it applies to Kang: Kang's calm and methodical nature under pressure shows how Ti operates for him. For example, planting trackers in Cherie and Crush's car and then using that information to track them down demonstrates his ability to think several steps ahead. He doesn't panic or react emotionally; instead, he approaches the situation with a logical mindset, ensuring his plan works. Even though his methods are unorthodox, they follow an internal logic that Ti prioritises. Kang’s ability to keep cool while figuring out the best course of action reflects this cognitive process. **Extraverted Feeling (Fe)** Fe is attuned to the emotions, needs, and dynamics of others. It’s focused on building harmony, managing social interactions, and responding to the emotional states of people around. While it’s not the dominant function for ENTPs, it still plays a significant role in how they navigate social situations. How it applies to Kang: Though Kang's actions are driven by his own goals and logic (Ti), his playful and upbeat personality suggests that he’s socially aware and knows how to interact with others. His decision to take the blame for Crush during the party incident, for example, shows a willingness to protect others, even at personal cost. This shows his understanding of social relationships and the emotional impact his actions have on others. He’s not someone who dismisses the feelings of those around him; rather, he uses charm and wit to maintain positive social dynamics, which is indicative of a developing Fe function. **Introverted Sensing (Si)** Si deals with past experiences, details, and personal memory. It helps people rely on what’s known and familiar, providing a sense of stability and routine. For ENTPs, Si is the least developed function, meaning they may struggle with consistency and sticking to routines, though they may have a few important guiding principles from the past. How it applies to Kang: Kang’s Si is evident in his adherence to the lesson his parents taught him: making sure debts are repaid. This principle from his past guides his decisions, such as saving Mashiro and ensuring that what’s owed to him is acknowledged. However, beyond that, Kang doesn’t seem overly focused on sticking to routines or reflecting on the past. His reliance on improvisation and risk-taking suggests that Si is a less developed function, as he often prefers new and creative approaches rather than sticking to what’s tried and tested. His chaotic and spontaneous nature is typical of someone who doesn’t prioritize Si. a summary for yall who r lazy to read all this: Kang’s quick thinking, creative problem-solving, and playful nature point to Ne dominance, while his logical approach and ability to keep calm in tough situations reflect Ti auxiliary. His willingness to step in and protect others, along with his charm, shows the influence of Fe, even if it’s not his primary drive. Finally, his sporadic but important use of past experiences (like his parents’ teaching) indicates an inferior Si function. These traits together strongly suggest ENTP as his personality type.
