General James Ironwood MBTI Personality Type
Personality
What personality type is General James Ironwood? General James Ironwood is an ENTJ personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - so/sp - 682 in Enneagram, RCOEI in Big 5, LIE in Socionics.
I think he's a very good example of an enneagram 6 who shows both phobic and counterphobic responses to fear. Also yes, he's definitely an ExTJ. I'm not 100% sure he's ENTJ though. But I heard the following advice: when in doubt look at the tertiary function. If I think back to Ironwood's reaction to finding that chess piece on his desk or his reaction to finding out about Watts and the heating grid being shut down...well it seems very much like Te-Ne looping. Not Te, Ni-aux. Compare Ironwood focusing on Amity and the 100 possibilities of things that might go wrong to Winter immediately focusing on the very real problem right in front of them: Mantle freezing. (I chose Winter because they're both military, so the "military training" argument can't be used here) I'd like to hear some arguments for ENTJ though. I still haven't really made up my mind.
Biography
Ironwood is courteous to his allies and is far-thinking, tactical, wondering about the future. He also has a jovial, friendly, humorous and proud public persona. However, as courteous Ironwood may appear, he can also be incredibly blunt and arrogant, and generally prefers the direct approach. When he feels necessary, Ironwood is not afraid to bring the full might of his military command to bear. Nevertheless, Ironwood is extremely loyal to his comrades, and however questionable his methods may be, he seems to have genuinely good intentions behind them.
