hmm, actually, aren't his main traits literally fear and cowardice? as far as i know, gray's whole character is based on his anxiety and indecisiveness, and overcoming his fears. he's terribly anxious, afraid of everything, always on guard as if something bad is about to happen... also he's very clingy towards other people (billy or jay), who can protect him and give him a sense of security in any way. i also don't see that much sloth in him compared to his constant fear. and he perfectly fits the trait structure! “Ego: Cowardice" “Passion: Fear There is a necessary instinctive fear of dangerous situations in order to safeguard our physical existence. We wouldn’t last long without it. But for the Ego-Coward, all of life is threatening. Enemies surround him, so he must always be on the alert and find someone stronger to protect him. Though such constant fear is painful, yet it is familiar and safe. To live without it would leave one too vulnerable to unexpected attack.” - “You were able to express your views to Jay-san so easily… I was too nervous to say anything at all...“ - “Jay: What was your reason for becoming a hero? Gray: I… That’s… I want to be strong.“ - “It’s just like you said… I’m helpless... I was being attacked, and I couldn’t even defend myself… I’ve always been losing… Not only to my fears, but also to myself... I thought that becoming a hero would help with overcoming those weaknesses... “ his subtype would probably be sp6 with so6 as following(tho i think he has a developed sx6 to some extent if we're talking about his other persona.) "The E6s Fear combined with the anxiety for survival of the SP instincts leads the SP6 to be anxious of everyone, and believe that the best way to avoid said anxiety is through warmth. Because they see others as a threat to their survival, they will try to befriend others and align themselves with them to ensure others won't lash out against them. Fear here takes place as a constant submission in order to gain protection. They also have difficulty in looking at things as black and white, as they can see multiple shades of gray in between everything."
