I don’t really see him being totally one way or another in terms of morality. Chaotic neutral suits him better. He has no problem doing things that may be morally wrong/unethical in order to, in the end, do what’s right/good. Like what he did with Bell, it was for the greater good. The ends justify the means. It’s how he always justify a things and for the most part doesn’t bother with the moral aspect. There’s a scene where he says “nobody will brand us heroes or villains…they don’t know us.” Very chaotic neutral-ish to me.
Biography
Special Officer Russell Adler is the deuteragonist to antagonist featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. He is a CIA agent charged with stopping the mysterious Soviet agent codenamed Perseus. Adler is described as "America's monster" with a "dark charisma". He later serves as the protagonist of the post-launch seasonal narrative for Black Ops Cold War, going up against Vikhor "Stitch" Kuzmin. Adler is set to return in Black Ops 6 as a main character who joined Frank Woods' Rogue Black Ops team.
