i really think gob is more enneagram 3 than 7, just look at the whole president thing. he doesn’t care about actually being president, he just wants the title because he’s the oldest and he wants to look like he’s in charge. i think you could even argue that the forget-me-nows have to do with his image too. i feel like his ego is so fragile that he can’t even let himself see the bad parts of himself; he has to forget them. not to mention his magic career. this one might be a stretch, but i feel like if he was a 7, he would just be happy getting to do his illusions, but i feel like gob has a need to be a famous and powerful magician. in season 2 (i think?) when tony wonder is in poof magazine. gob obsesses over it, he thinks he should be the one in the magazine. lastly, his suits. he has to let everyone know how expensive his suits are so that they know he’s better than them (at least in his mind lol). he’s constantly overcompensating because he’s deeply insecure but can’t let anyone see that. his intro in season 4 literally says “gob finally has what he’s always wanted: a group of people who worship him.” i do think he has a strong 7 fix, but i think 3 is his dominant type.

Biography

Michael's older brother, "GOB", short for George Oscar Bluth, is a terrible magician, and the founding member of the Alliance of Magicians. In Season 4, GOB gets mistakenly engaged to Ann, but leaves her on the altar as a result of a sabotaged trick. He eventually falls in with the teen singer Mark Cherry and his entourage, acting as their limo driver, "Getaway". However, as a result of his failed bee colonies, they are sent to rehab, and he is left without anyone in the world who cares about him (besides his boss, Steve Holt, whom he continues to ignore). Desperate and addicted to roofies, he attempts to get revenge on Tony Wonder and sabotage his career, but ends up forming romantic feelings for him.
