I already knew about the implication with Jar Jar since before I started watching Star Wars, and when I started The "Phantom Menace" I thought it was just a fan tantrum, since he was annoying but not for that much, as well as Anakin Child's supposed Annoying Personality, but I saw what they were really talking about at the end of the movie, the Final Sequence of the war with Anakin and Jar Jar making a lot of mess and saving everyone with it was ridiculous, besides being a very lazy and simplistic option of the script, It's almost like saying to each other: "Let's make the good guys win because of a string of blunders, conveniences and forced strokes of luck from Anakin and Binks" what a ridiculous outcome, now I understand Why it is considered the worst of the franchise and even ignored by many, the film even remains average until the middle, but in the end he loses millions to every other movie in the trilogies, Conclusion: at the time of the marathon no one will judge you for skipping this one...with all due respect to those who like it, obviously it's just my opinion and you don't have to agree with it

Jar Jar Binks is a fictional character from the Star Wars saga created by George Lucas. A major character in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, he also has a smaller role in Episode II: Attack of the Clones, and a one-line cameo in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, as well as a role in the television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
