maybe i'll come back to this and make a proper argument but i'm surprised no one considered sx6 for him. i say he has a strong 8 fix, but i don't think he has an 8 core. ep 35, he admits that he is a sadist because well... he's insecure. it's a defense mechanism to protect himself and the people he cares about (as seen in the way he treats his sister, mitsuba, and kondo). admittedly, i also do think the show (and sorachi) kinda forgot this bit, and him being a sadist just became his whole schtick. maybe i wasn't supposed to take ep 35 seriously, but that part alone has already set a strong point in his character. i believe he is voted as an 8 core because the comedic side of gintama fuels his 8 a lot, but in serious arcs, he actually /isn't/ an 8 core. i think this comment perfectly describes his behavior in the serious arcs: https://www.reddit.com/r/Enneagram/comments/7r6hfd/comment/dsuxe6d/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 but idk. seems like the comments have been ridden with one-sided arguments and troll votes, i just wanted to put this out there since it has been on my mind for a while. pls be civil if you wish to reply to me, thanks!
Biography
Okita Sougo ( 沖田 総悟, Okita Sōgo) is the 1st Division Captain of the Shinsengumi and was a trainee at Kondou Isao's dojo in his youth. He is the younger brother of Okita Mitsuba who raised him after their parents passed away. He is recognized as the best swordsman in the Shinsengumi and takes pride in his job to lead the vanguard as to open a path for the Shinsengumi.
