Gustavo Fring MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Gustavo Fring? Gustavo Fring is an ISTJ personality type in MBTI, 1w9 - sp/so - 163 in Enneagram, RCOEI in Big 5, LSI in Socionics.

“We are not alike at all Mr. White. You are not a careful man." There is this stereotype that Ni is planning or hunches and Si is details and the past. They are much more alike than you would think. Ni and Si can both be "Planning" functions. Ni is just much more likely to have an end goal, and the means of getting there will be more vague and abstract. Si will plan details and specifics about what they are going to do in the near future, so they are less likely to have an end goal, just a path to go down. Compare Walter White to Gustavo Fring and you see the differences in their thought process. Walter uses strange out of the box methods that nobody would ever expect. Such as poisoning a child, using a paralyzed old man to blow Gus up, and putting a machine gun in his car to automatically shoot everyone in a building. He also does the magnet thing, which was Jesses idea, but it's unlikely an Si dom would even consider that. Sometimes, he is sloppy in his execution, like getting Saul to take the cigarette, eventually causing Jesse to find out. Leaving a book in his house from one of the men he cooks meth with, causing Hank to find out. Driving erratically to his money based on only one image, and being caught by Jesse and Hank. He always has an end goal (at least, at the start) which is to get a specific amount of money, it slowly turns more into he wants to build an empire and become the new Gus. He is obviously an Ni dom. Gus uses very detailed, planned out methods that everyone understands and you would expect. He has an incredibly detailed alibi that he takes as seriously as his drug job (I can not stress this part enough, this entire part of his life is so detailed and Walter would never, ever do something like this). He does not work with junkies. He hides himself from even people who work for him, like the German guys and Saul Goodman (who doesn't even know who he is when he tells Walt about him). He had his computer heavily encrypted so no one could find the security footage. There's not one example of Gus doing anything unpredictable, apart from not getting into his bomb ridden car. But I can explain this too. The car thing is simple, in this part of the show, we assume Gus poisoned Brock, so we think its crazy that Gus just randomly didn't hop into his car. But you have to realise, Gus only just found out Brock was poisoned. From very obvious logic he could come to the conclusion his car was rigged. He knew neither he nor Jesse poisoned Brock. The most likely person is Walter, why? To lure Gus to the hospital, so he probably has a trap somewhere, it could be in Gus's car. This is not an abstract thing to think about, it follows a very simple and obvious thought process, and he is using a bit of Ne too. He is most likely an Si dom.
