He's one of my go to examples of ENTPs as his Ne is on display every single moment he's on screen. His role in the precinct is literally "Mr. Crazy Idea Man" which is pure Ne & he uses his Ti to decide which of the crazy ideas is the one that most likely happened using logic (helping him catch the killer in the process or create fitting endings to his books) but he is always off on some tangent of "x completely unrealistic but very interesting thing was the cause" until Becket reigns him back in.
