What personality type is Elton John? Elton John is an ESFP personality type in MBTI, 4w3 - sx/so - 479 in Enneagram, SLUAN in Big 5, ESE in Socionics.
Okay so I might be biased because I am a 4w3 but he seems very 4w3 to me. I can also def see 7w6, and I know you don’t need to be a 4w3 to dress uniquely and what not, but he did work on the Rocketman movie himself and there were many moments in that movie where he needed to differentiate himself from others and make a name for himself like that scene where he was saying he isn’t Reginald Dwight anymore but sir Elton John. That all seems very 4w3 to me. As well as several points in the movie showing how he felt misunderstood by his parents and many others in his life. Jealousy was also a theme that popped up occasionally, and any type can be jealous, but envy is our “deadly sin” which makes me lean even more towards 4w3. His one desire was to just be understood, but also loved for his uniqueness and loved for who he was, which sadly lead him to be taken advantage of. Of course he did have unhealthy escapist tendencies with drugs and all of that but you don’t necessarily need to be a core 7 to do that. It is just more likely in type 7s, but very unhealthy 4s take these routes of self-sabotage as well. And this is also random but Elton John and I have the same sun and moon lol if you’re into astrology. We are both Aries Suns and Taurus Moons. I’ve always seen so much of myself in him and really resonated with the movie.
