What personality type is Jacq? Jacq is an INTP personality type in MBTI, 5w6 - so/sx - 592 in Enneagram, RCUAI in Big 5, ILE in Socionics.
I feel like Jacq is an INTP that a fair amount of people may view as a type with Fe that's stronger than inferior Fe. while I get where these perspectives are coming from, I think it's far more likely that Jacq is simply a very healthy character who has developed all of his functions considerably. while Jacq most certainly is kind, gracious, and welcoming towards his students, we can see that his main priorities lie elsewhere--namely, in the discovery and analysis of information and data and the subsequent possibilities they bring. it's a bit stereotypical, in some ways, but consider how overjoyed Jacq is every time you show him your Pokedex with the amount of species he's looking for. studying Pokemon in this manner and being surprised by the rare or unusual Pokemon the player seems to find correlates strongly with the information and possibility-speaking dominant Ti and auxiliary Ne combination of the INTP. I do think it's also important to note that Jacq's Ne can oftentimes present itself more noticeably than his Fe. time and time again, we see that Jacq is focused on progress and innovation, not on the standards of decorum and behavior that Clavell believes in. we see this contrast play out several times during the game, most notably when Clavell chastised Jacq for deviating from the rules for exams by adding in a bonus question about the Pokedex or when Clavell reprimanded Jacq for largely implying that the player character may make a better teacher than him (and, in a sense, this interaction especially indicates the contrast between the forward-thinking nature of strong Ne and the past-honoring nature of strong Si). this juxtaposition of strong Si and strong Ne really exemplifies how Jacq's cognitive functions largely match those of the INTP
Biography
Mr. Jacq is your homeroom teacher, and he teaches biology. He is very knowledgeable about Pokémon biology and is the developer of the Pokédex app for the Rotom Phone. He has a slightly airheaded side to him, and he sometimes loses himself in his research.
