What personality type is Dylan Marshall? Dylan Marshall is an ISFP personality type in MBTI, 9w1 - sx/so - 947 in Enneagram, RCUAI in Big 5, SEI in Socionics.
Such a loveable, goofy-arse sonofabitch, it's kinda hard to distinguish his instinctual subtype but I'm leaning towards Sexual based on Tom Condon's descriptions, but if not Sx I can se him as being So, Sp not so much. Mf couldn't get his mind off Haley for frickin YEARS, I think that pretty much sums up, as Beatrice Chestnut says for the Sexual 9, the "need to be through another- to gain a sense of "being" they don't find inside themselves through fusion with somebody else". "Sexual Nines tend to be very kind, gentle, tender and sweet. They are the least assertive of the Nines.", as other commenter pointed out, Dylan, at least in the earlier seasons, looks a lot like a type 4, this is also touched upon in Chestnut's description: "Sexual Nines can resemble Type Fours, as they may feel a sense of melancholy and experience and express similar themes and feelings related to relationships [...] However, while Fours are self-referencing, Sexual Nines are primarily other-referencing.", I think this can be seen, even in his 4-like period early on the show, by his artistic endeavors, like that song, that references Haley and his desire to (quite literally) merge with her. As some of Tom Condon's descriptions also point out, they're "loyal in love; patient and enduring; able to stay steady in long term relationships", "are sometimes mistaken for Fours because of the way they can melancholically yearn for what they don’t have", and can "Sometimes feel driven by lust". And well, I don't think these require much explanation lol.
