What personality type is Kagetsu? Kagetsu is an ENFJ personality type in MBTI, 2w3 - so/sx - 279 in Enneagram, SCOAI in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.
So, I went through all his supports and took notes and I'll try to sort what stood out to me. I think the most likely function stack for him is Fe/Ti and Ni/Se and since I found the most for Fe and Se but he doesn't really show any Ti at all, I'll settle for ENFJ for now. To start off, the two functions that I excluded even though I found stuff for them are Fi and Si. I gathered he could be a Fi-user since h's very insistent on not sparring on unequal terms or in, to him, unfitting situations (as seen in his Diamant and Merrin supports). He also applies a lot of his culture his surroundings and cherishes his homelands traditions (also seen in Diamant supports, as well as pretty much any time he talks about Pale sands), which can be taken as a sign of Si. The reason I ultimately excluded these functions was that I found a lot more about Fe and Se. Kagetsu seems to be generally characterized as someone who always seeks social harmony. He's bothered by Zelkov and Ivy's apparent dislike of him but hides it, tries to befriend pretty much anyone he meets and, unlike Fi-users who mostly try to connect with others through their own personality and experiences, he adapts to whoever he's talking to. These are of course all also signs of just high empathy but for the sake of the argument I'll take it as Fe. His Se on the other hand is visible in his distaste of the mundane and constraining life of a royal (as seen in his support with Céline), his way of experiencing his surroundings through mostly physical activities like fighting and his fleeing his homeland to discover the world for himself. Now, since I really suck at spotting Ni unless it's obvious like when someone resorts to unorthodox means to achieve their goals (because wtf is Ni if not the absence of other functions?), I'll choose to see Kagetsus individual approach of achieving social harmony (aka making friends) as a sign of Ni. Since this is Kagetsu we're talking about you can replace any "fighting", "sparring" or similar words with "tries to befriend" and "befriends". He challenges Merrin to a fight in order to get her blessing to fight Timerra, tries to trick Zelkov into fighting him by threatening his painting, makes a compromise with Jade to talk about himself to get her to fight him and tells Ivy about himself to get her to like him more. To put a little bow on this, I've got a few quotes of him that imply certain character traits that he doesn't show frequently or at all aside from the quote. -"If you wish to know more, you must duel me again! I do not part with secrets for nothing." (to Boucheron, although the claim is not really supported by other supports in which he kinda just rambles about his past, could be a sign of Ni). -"I cannot go back as I am. I must return only when I have... grown. I must earn glory and honors here so they will understand why I left. So they will not be angry." (also to Boucheron, probably Fe or Si-related). -"Even if you do not like me, I like you enough for the both of us. So there is no problem!" (to Ivy, likely Fe) -"To bring joy to your face is at least some compensation for your dislike" (to Ivy, most likely general high empathy but why not go crazy and say it may also be Fe?). -No quote but the whole Quiz ordeal that Kagetsu initates with Boucheron twice as a "joke" could be a sign that he's got Fe but he could also just have the hots for Boucheron (in which case testing the waters with "jokes" like this is still a Fe thing I feel like). Now it should be obvious why I personally believe he's an ENFJ and I'll stand by that until someone else makes a different argument that is similarly or more believable than mine
