it's really interesting (and sad, of course) how his arc both parallels and differs from Daniel's in the first Karate Kid movie. both of them are in situations where they're new to the area (and are thus relentlessly bullied); they both have atypical, rather difficult home lives; they both have a crush who their main antagonist also likes; and they both are initially allured by Cobra Kai. however, Kenny doesn't have as strong of a support system as Daniel had with his mother and Mr. Miyagi, and so he's drawn into the ruthless atmosphere of Cobra Kai and subsequently transformed into someone controlled by his anger and driven by vengeance. I really hope he's able to get some help from someone in the next season. the poor guy needs it
Biography
A new student at West Valley Middle School and the brother of Shawn Payne who joins Cobra Kai after he is bullied by his fellow peers. He develops a mentee-mentor relationship with Robby Keene.
