Masaya and Akira are a really good example of the difference between INTJ and INTP. Masaya has a clear vision for wanting to be a leader of a new world and uses the resources around him to make this happen, like his ability and the program itself. This shows good Ni-Te with him having a vision or goal first (Ni dom) and then using stuff around him to support that goal (Te aux). Oppose this to Akira who doesn’t really have any single goal in mind, he just wants something to stimulate his mind because everything else is easy to him, and once he gets in the program all he really wants to do is understand it and how it works (Ti-Ne). He doesn’t have a main goal besides to destroy the program to get out of it and beat it. But even that goal isn’t personal, like Masaya’s is. Masaya’s goal to be a leader and create a new world is due to his traumatic and abusive past showing his Fi and how Ni-Fi works together. However Akira on the other hand has no feelings for the program, his only want is to get intellectually stimulated which is very common for Ti-Ne to seek new intellectuals purists since they can get bored easily. Finally the difference really shows in their strategy. Masaya uses Ni-Te to predict the most likely scenarios for success and using his Te to try and guide those scenarios for his benefit, more like offensive. This is seen with the spy he sent in to try and take out the head of the green team. While Akira on the other hand, his strategy is much more just gathering information to get a better understanding of what he’s dealing with. Like when he went himself to spy on the read team to see what they are planning and who’s on their team. He also doesn’t narrow things down like an Ni user would and more throws out random things that could benefit him if a situation were to come up just in case which is much more Ne. Like when he gave Yuri that bandage he literally says “well we’ll see where that leads”, he’s not narrowing things down to the most likely outcome like an Ni user he’s just throwing out things.
