What personality type is Bomi Yun? Bomi Yun is an ESFJ personality type in MBTI, 9w1 - so/sx - 926 in Enneagram, SCOAI in Big 5, SEI in Socionics.
Disclaimer: I’m super new to Socionics ^^” but I don’t think EII is quite right? I struggle to see Bomi as having base Fi and unvalued Fe. Unlike Fi bases, who usually make decisions based on personal ethical values, Bomi’s decisions are founded on preserving a comfortable emotional atmosphere (Si-Fe). Seonhui also points out how Bomi never judges people and is happy to go along with whatever others want. This is uncharacteristic for Fi bases, who are usually self-righteous and have strong internal values that they adhere to. Furthermore, Fi bases are skilled at understanding people’s intentions in relationships. Bomi, however, pays little attention to this. She’s oblivious to people approaching her with ill will (e.g. Gyuri, that creepy upperclassman) and tends to defer to others’ judgement instead (particularly Seonhui's). Bomi’s creative Fe can be seen in how sensitive she is to tense emotional atmospheres. She’s proactive in uplifting the mood and smoothing out any conflict that arises, acting as a mediator in groups. When Bomi first gets put on cleaning duty with Jinyoung, he points out that she’s saying things she doesn’t mean to prevent an awkward mood (which Bomi internally agrees with). Fe doesn’t appear to be Bomi’s base function, as she lacks outward emotional passion and intensity. Rather, Bomi uses her Fe to fulfill her desire for peace and comfort (i.e. supplying her base Si). I also think that Bomi’s too comfortable in her Se usage to be EII. She certainly doesn’t value Se; Bomi avoids confrontation and believes it’s best to resolve conflict peacefully. However, when Bomi loses her temper, she engages in conflict fiercely and without hesitation (e.g. her fight with Gyuri + when Bomi flipped over all the tables in her house during an argument). From what I understand, Bomi’s behaviour during conflict is quite unlike EIIs, who tend to appear awkward and unsure of themselves due to PoLR Se. Furthermore, I believe Bomi’s attitude towards her fake relationship with Jinyoung may be indicative of weak Ni. She sees the fake relationship as an immediate solution to an existing problem, and accepts it without considering its future consequences. When Bomi begins to develop romantic interest in Jinyoung, she loses herself in the pleasant feelings their fake relationship evokes. Bomi doesn’t stop to consider the trajectory of their relationship and the fact that they'll eventually have to break-up. As such, she is extremely shocked when their relationship does come to an end.

Bomi Yun is the female lead in Seasons of Blossom's spring arc. She is Seonhui's best friend since middle school.
