What personality type is Enid Sinclair? Enid Sinclair is an ESFP personality type in MBTI, 7w6 - sp/so - 279 in Enneagram, SLUAI in Big 5, ESE in Socionics.
𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐀𝐍 𝐄𝐒𝐅𝐏 [𝟏/𝟑] so after watching the show and seeing that only a few people have made solid arguments for enid’s type, i’ve decided to give my reasons as to why i believe she is an ESFP as opposed to an ENFP. (spoilers) . . . . . ✼ •• ┈┈┈┈๑⋅⋯ ୨˚୧ ⋯⋅๑┈┈┈┈ •• ✼ 𝐒𝐞 > 𝐍𝐞 going by stereotypes, it’s very easy to say that enid is an Ne-dom and therefore an ENFP. she’s super bright, bubbly, wears colorful clothing, etc. Ne and Se are also both extroverted perceiving functions so they can appear similar in general (ESFP can often be mistyped as ENFP and vice-versa). both of their attention is directed outwardly and they gather information from the objective reality. however, when looking closer at enid’s character it’s clear that she is actually an Se-dom. : ̗̀➛ “Se is the main way SeFi’s take in information. It means they use their senses to understand the world around them. They live in the moment and prefer dealing with things that are real and solid over the purely hypothetical. Se is the part of SeFi’s that makes them search out playful new sensory experiences.” the main thing about enid that makes her Se > Ne is how concerned she is with the tangible, concrete, and present moment. while wednesday is off trying to solve the mystery, enid is much more interested in what is currently going on in the now, such as the poe cup, the rave’n dance, gossip around school, etc. an Ne-dom would be more inclined to have a sense of curiosity towards wednesday and her theories about the murder. she might even try to provide her own theories and possibilities towards the murder. however, we see that enid rarely engages with wednesday’s abstract theories and instead she always focuses on what’s currently going on around her. ↳ for example, when wednesday says she believes rowan is dead, enid quickly dismisses her and says she saw him alive so he couldn’t possibly be dead. instead of entertaining wednesday’s ideas, enid sticks to the fact that she physically saw rowan alive so there is no other possibilities to him being dead. for Se-doms, if something is physical and concrete (Se) then they are more likely to believe that over an abstract possibility (Ne). : ̗̀➛ “While SeFi’s can handle abstract ideas, concepts, and conversations, they can tire of this type of thought quickly if they can see no practical, real world value for it. While endless speculation about every possibility under the sun will tire them, if you give them one abstract concept, they can often run with it—building on it, and feeling out how to make it a tangible reality…” 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘚𝘦 ↳ when enid saw all of wednesday’s evidence on the board and instead of being curious about it, she says that it makes her room look like “Ted Bundy’s pinterest.” this shows that she is more focused on the physical, concrete appearance of wednesday’s room rather than the possibilities and theories the board shows. ↳ little things such as her keen eye for fashion, hair, etc. and her well-decorated room shows that she’s more tuned in to sensory details which is a trait associated with Se. she’s also very perceptive to what styles and colors wednesday likes and even knitted her a scarf (which shows that she also enjoys hands-on, kinesthetic activities) ↳ in the episode where enid helps wednesday investigate the murders (ep. 6) , she is hyper aware of her surroundings and is ready to react to every sound she hears. she is also very aware of the smells of the environment she’s in. ↳ enid constantly encourages wednesday (who has inferior Se) to experience and try new things with her and to get out of her comfort zone (the school dance, shopping, etc.). however, she is still respectful of wednesday’s boundaries as she can sense whether wednesday is comfortable or not with the situation (Se-Fi).
Biography
Whereas Wednesday is dark and dreary, Enid is bright and sunny. A member of a pack of San Francisco werewolves, Wednesday's roommate is ready to brighten up her life.
