Jules Vaughn MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Jules Vaughn? Jules Vaughn is an ENFP personality type in MBTI, 7w6 - sx/so - 749 in Enneagram, SLUAI in Big 5, IEE in Socionics.

a lot of people question why jules is typed as a 4. so i decided to put together an "argument" for why i think jules is such a clear example of a 4w3. (this is from that doc from a drive that is on pdb's list of enneagram resources) social/sexual 4 this is overall the “lightest” type four when it comes to social interaction. they are likely to utilize charm and humor. they can drift through life always feeling like an outsider, yet they usually have friends. they can alternate from being the life of the party to withdrawing. intimates will know of their insecurities and dark moody side while acquaintances will see a softer, friendlier side. this subtype’s energy is geared towards people, but they never feel as though they really fit in. they are often quite creative, talented people who have many interests, but they frequently lack the energy to actually accomplish what they would like. they can drift and withdraw very easily. when healthy and with the right support from friends (and perhaps a little push) they tap into their instinctual energy. when they do this, they begin to see how much they can accomplish. a positive connection to others helps them stay focused. • jules does withdraw easily. one example is when she started feeling pressure from rue. • she seems to feel like an outsider (the way she talks about high school and her therapy session), but she has friends and is overall cared for. • jules keeps her negative feelings to herself, we see this in her special episode. she has a very poor self image and she struggles a lot, but nobody in her life knows that besides maybe her father, not even rue. • she's always friendly and not at all "moody", i think that's one of the reasons people don't see her as a four. but that's just obvious stereotyping, not every four has to look depressed. (these descriptions are by tom condon) four with a three wing - fours with a three wing can seem like sevens. can be cheerful, outgoing, with a sense of humor and style - may be “counter depressive,” in that they stay busy and on-task to avoid getting bogged down in melancholy - healthy fours with this wing marry art and commerce; they are both creative and effective, intuitive and ambitious - generally more visual and kinesthetic and have a faster tempo of thought, speech and reaction - often materialistic, can have elegant or expensive taste; could prize the rare - might dress flashy – albeit in a color coordinated way - can be conscious of wearing a mask to hide their “true” deformed identity - their pleasure in their own achievements may be tainted by jealousy or motivated by revenge - fours with this wing can tend towards melodrama and flamboyance - get lost in fraudulence, play the role of the artist or the authentic, unique one social fours - healthy social fours are unusually independent, self-affirming and socially courageous - willing to take unpopular stands, initiate innovative projects or create institutions that have humanistic or artistic purposes - can be idealistic, drawn to social causes, with a keen sense of justice - may play the role of the critical outsider, dissatisfied with the norm - prone to shame because they compare themselves with the “normal” world around them, for deviating from imagined group norms - highly self-critical although their critical voice often belongs to someone else - may seek status or feel driven to achieve to get revenge against those who once laughed at them - cover their shame with charm • i think this sounds a lot like jules, i don't even feel like i have to explain it. (this is from the link that is also on pdb's list of enneagram resources, the tritypes descriptions) 4 and 7 together combine to create a sense of the creative, intuitive, magical and imaginative. the gut type determines the flavor. 479s are elegant, wispy and ethereal. when 4 is dominant the 4 is reluctant to show their edgy, more negative emotions. the emphasis is on having an image that is deep but not seen as difficult. suffering is more private. if you are a 479, you are intuitive, innovative and accepting. you want to be original, positive and peaceful. you are very identified with the defense of optimism and tend to hide your more painful feelings and pessimism for fear of being rejected. you see the wonder in beauty and are gentle, lyrical and idealistic in the way you relate to others. • not every four will appear depressed and moody. tritype plays a big part in someone's personality. that's why i understand some sx 7 votes, i believe jules has a very strong 7 fix. but her main questions are undoubtedly more 4-like. her special episode shows that. jules cares more about her identity than anything else, that's why it's also the thing she struggles with the most, she's too caught up in self criticism.
