✶ 𝐀𝐈 𝐇𝐎𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐎 ✶ This is based on what i think the author (Aka Akasaka) wanted to present in her character to the audience and it’s not limited to what is displayed on screen. 𝓢𝓮𝓬𝓸𝓷𝓭 𝓯𝓾𝓷𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷- 𝓝𝓲 𝓿𝓼 𝓢𝓲 “what could be” versus “adapting to how it already is” Ni focuses on potential 「what could be」 「how my kids would look like as adults」「what career suits them」 She is not restricted to her routines and often steer away from what is “traditionally”accepted.. instead (in my understanding of the movie), Ai sees a vision of a world she could live in, to love people, and actively tries to reach it by performing for the audience in hopes of a genuine feeling of love for them. In a world where she could finally stop pretending and actually FEEL. I believe Si would rather adjust to their immediate environment and emotions in the moment than seeking for what they think to seem out of reach. If she used Si i think she would accept that she can’t ever love or be loved (because of her trauma) and will distance herself from others to prevent hurting because nothing could come from having close relationships. She definitely is not detail oriented unless it relates to her goals or people she wants to protect. Ai was pulled out of her Se function into her Ni when Saito implants the potential of her desire into Ai’s mind when he scouted her. “it’s okay to lie?””lies will eventually become true”She invested all her efforts to bringing this dream to life. /people tend to overuse their third function rather than second function/ /2nd function manifests in our personalities as we grow and learn/ Si is fearful of the unknown, which presents itself when you perform something in the same manner for a long time and are tasked with the same activity, but still feel doubtful and terrified of messing up. Seeing as Ai opened the door without hesitation (especially her title as an idol) and doing it by reflex “in the moment” was tinted with Se. She emitted no sense of cautiousness in her constant state (no Si) 【 𝒞𝒽𝒾𝓁𝒹 (third) 𝒻𝓊𝓃𝒸𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃 】 /people tend to overuse their third function rather than second function/ 「𝐸𝒩𝐹𝒥- Se 」 Ai possesses the ESTP aura in her way of taking risks without an ounce of anxiety or worry of what might befall on her and has a positive attitude towards the outlook of the future. (Ni-Se) Her reckless behaviour made way for her children to be in her life at an unusually young age and she (probably) never thought of the risks of her career and challenges she might face when raising them in the long run (which Si would naturally think about) but only cares about what these souls could bring her (a family she never had). 「𝐸𝒮𝐹𝒥-Ne」 Ai is not fluent in generating strings of nonsensical ideas when speaking and she’s very direct and sees the realities of life clearly(but nevertheless chooses to ignore it) “i just realised the world revolves around money” -unlike Ruby (ENFP) who completely deludes herself and detaches from it altogether. (refuses to fact-check) “she’s a virgin.. there was never a guy..” “don’t idols make like 100,000,000 million yen??!” 𝓝𝓲-𝓢𝓮 execution then conception.. She does an action and then molds a concept, orbiting around the senses she felt when doing it. (abstract) 𝓢𝓲-𝓝𝓮 when ideas manifest and is then etched into their brain as a memory/experience. I’m not set on ENFJ because i could also list several reasons for her being ESFJ but for debate purposes i’ll leave these points here. i hope i didn’t make it too difficult to understand. Ai Hoshino (星野 アイ, Hoshino Ai, #on knees) is a main character in the Oshi no Ko manga series. She was the lead idol of the now defunct B-Komachi, an idol group affiliated with Strawberry Productions. Before her idol work, she was a bumpkin who had no professionalism and didn't try to fit in. Through the help of Masaya Kaburagi, she was able to get into the Lalalie Theatrical Company, and from there, fell in love and started paying attention to herself. She transformed into the famous idol she was.
