once again, can someone explain how shikimori would be ni-dom without describing behavior or wanting to reach goals? or explain how her se would be inferior or repressed? the current INFJ arguments are quite stereotyped, i.e. being observant/having a goal = ni dom? i'm so lost. the more i think about it, the more prominent it becomes that her ni is serving her fe, rather than the opposite. shikimori is far too focused on the feeling realm; she is dominated by the objective valuation of situations, people, etc. by acceptance or rejection. so many of her actions stem from what she takes in as good by her environment, and her own responses are quick to genuinely mirror those of the people around her. ni-doms suppress sensation in favor of their subjective view. it's really not a function about being quiet or being goal-oriented. rather, it takes experiences from sensation and patterns to an encapsulation of the whole that resonates with the individual and is seen over and over again while devaluing and dismissing the objective qualities of it from se. lots of comments are claiming that her se is developed without a proper explanation. physical activity =/= se. regardless of how "developed" a function is, it doesn't change the attitude and role of a function in the stack. shikimori having se inferior can't be described because... it isn't inferior. her focus is far more based on external events, using her observations to come to a judgement; her primary stimulation is less from her internal insights and more from the atmosphere around her. while she prefers ni-se axis, it is not used in the way that INFJs use fe to support ni. shikimori's ni-se is prominent in that she utilizes her observation and conclusion drawn from perception to determine what she should do; her primary concern is found in the response of those around her. dominantly extraverted types are characterized by external responsiveness based on a process (thinking, feeling, sensation, intuition), ready acceptance of events, desire to influence the situation or object in the said orientation. this already matches her so well, rather than the primary hesitance to action, reflectiveness, and focus on subjective elements characteristic of introverted types. (manga reader btw. needed to clarify in case someone uses some "anime watcher" comment against me as justification...) there's unfortunately a ton of misinformation i'm seeing in this comment section about functions, i'm hoping that my explanation could clarify things a bit. i'm open to discussion of course, feel free to comment! :)
