The way Aciman writes is by applying his own life experience into his stories. Call me by your name and Find me were inspired by Aciman's own experience, and then a longing for an idealised version of those events to have taken place, and then creating that. To me he seems more Fi than Fe.

André Aciman (/ˈæsɪmən/; born 2 January 1951) is an Egyptian-American writer. Born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt, he is currently distinguished professor at the Graduate Center of City University of New York, where he teaches the history of literary theory and the works of Marcel Proust. Aciman previously taught creative writing at New York University and French literature at Princeton and Bard College
