Xuân Quỳnh was one of the poets with a strong personality who always lived life to the fullest, ready to pursue her love. She bravely married for the second time to her beloved (playwright Lưu Quang Vũ, 6 years younger than her) at a time when society was still traditional and full of prejudices. Her real name is Nguyễn Thị Xuân Quỳnh.She was a Vietnamese famous female poet for her poems like "Sóng", "Truyện cổ tích về loài người", "Thuyền và biển".Some of her poems have been used in secondary and high school in Vietnam.
