!! this analysis contains MANGA SPOILERS !! . . . His arc is an example of a 5 overcoming avarice. Pre-story, he was retreated into his hobby of studying medicine & gathering knowledge. After arriving on the island, he continues to focus on research as much as possible, but he also develops a greater care for humans as individuals. Such a great care, in fact, that in the end, he chooses to sacrifice his own resources (medical skills & time) to save a criminal from the brink of death, rather than himself. . I've gone with w6 because his sacrificial decisions also involve betraying a faction he was previously loyal to. He lets go of that security after developing his own convictions.
Biografie
Fuchi is a rational thinker that has a good sense of judgement in situations and carries a no-nonsense view when it comes to matters that he deems are unscientific, pointless, and illogical. He has great pride as a Yamada Asaemon and does not tolerate anybody speaking disgracefully about the Yamada clan. He is very close with his Asaemon comrades and gives them nicknames instead of using honourifics. Even though the Yamada clan mainly deal with testing new swords and executions, Fuchi preferrs, and has a deep passion, for studying the human anatomy to improve medical science that came with the trade.
