9w8 does fit, but more than having peace or control over his situation, more than anything else, he wants to fulfill his ideals. He's enraged when someone else fails to do a good job, which is what he considers to be most important and ideal. Consider his whole rant on the state of Redwood Run, for instance. And he holds himself to just as high standards as anyone else, too. This is obvious enough, but consider his whole "I promised I'd work myself to death before the age of 35!" (quoted, but not necessarily word per word.) lament. This is a guy who absolutely expects the very best. He'll respect you if you provide it, an he'll be enraged if you don't, and even more so if you interfere with his attempts to fulfill that ideal (the 9 wing showing). Personality-wise, well, traits-wise, he does seem a bit eight-ish because of how aggressive he is, but his core motivation seem to be more that of a 1.
