Novel version of him is a completely different character so i'll just stick into the Movie version. He's a really good example of So7 character, especially a naive one (Because i tend to notice ppl here often see So7 as smth angelic or smth that came out of hell-). Hammond constantly talks about the wonder of bringing dinosaurs back to life. He genuinely believe that bringing Dinosaurs again will inspire many people. He’s so focused on the dream and the possibilities to the point he's very careless about the consequences to the current era. So7 is an E7 subtype that often disguises their gluttony behind good or noble intentions. They're far more disciplined and idealistic compared to Sp7 or Sx7. Instead of chasing pleasure openly, So7 often believe they're doing something good for the sake for everyone and that’s exactly Hammond’s whole mindset throughout the Movie. He really believes his Jurassic Park will inspire people and bring miracle to the world. But that same idealism also makes him extremely naive. He focuses so much on the dream that he ignores the risks of what he's doing. Now Dinosaurs and Humans forced to live together because of him, clearly he's not a Villain but his naivety is the ultimate problem of this Franchise.
