are we going to just ignore his ridiculously strong ti? yes, he's very much engaged with concrete sensory perception & experience but he absolutely does not prioritize that over his own subjective framework & understanding. he deduces the validity of chihiro's relation to kunishige by thinking out the logic of it & using concrete evidence to back it up. he also theorizes on the properties & usage of the datenseki through concrete testing - trying to expand the boundaries of what is objectively known based on his own understanding of it & his understanding of what it can achieve. & finally, he figures out the deeper abilities of kuregumo specifically due to his insane depth of ti (+ ni) usage. while he's aware of what is concretely known, he's willing to push beyond that (unrepressed & developed tertiary ni supporting ti) to grasp at what lies beyond the known. he does this with far more ease than any se dominant would be able to, specifically because of his ti-ni usage & both functions remaining unrepressed. while sojo prefers what is concretely & objectively known, he's certainly not afraid to think beyond it when needed. that's why he's such a fierce opponent too. there's simply no way he could be a se dominant when he repeatedly prioritizes his ti's system over se & also wields ni far too easily.
