I usually don't write but I decided to since I don't check out profiles of my own mbti very often. especially when it is ESTP characters and an example is Jang Deok-su from Squid Game, generally there's the consensus that ESTPs aren't the sharpest tools in the shed and I'm only speaking stereotype wise. and this is why I am typing this. Go Kyung-jun is one of the best ESTP characters out there and it is unbelievable to me that anyone would type him as an ENTP or ESFP. and that is because he is not the usual stereotypical bully who just beats people but instinct and reality aside, he can't think two steps ahead? i truly do believe that Kyung-jun is the best example of an 8w7 or maybe 9 ESTP. One of the scenes that tells me everything I need to know about this is when his friend asks him why does he still have his phone? And he gets extremely angry, while EVERYONE is fighting for their lives and tells him "just get your phone and vote if you don't want to die." I don't think there is a more ESTP way of responding to that and an intelligent way at that too. obviously he was in the middle of a huge crisis but that response sealed it for me, that his MBTI couldn't be anything else. That's our current reality. That's your current reality. stop trying to figure out what I have done and figure out if I'm your friend later, if you do have the gall to go against me. now, go get your phone and vote because that's what you have to do to live. simple. and very action based, realistic thought process with zero cowering or wondering what else could be going on throughout the entire drama. he was given a very awful situation to deal with, he didn't look beyond that but he was incredible at handling it intelligently and realistically just to get to the end, without ever wondering if all of that meant anything else. an unhealthy ESTP, violent, clearly dealing with anger issues but still very capable ESTP. the 8w7 or 8w9 no need to be explained. Kyung-jun's instinct and desire to eliminate the mafias, even if they were kids from his class says it all. it was what he had to do and i really do believe that if Da-beom wasn't in the mafia for him to be targeted while being so blind to it because it's Dabeom (also, I have to say, very ESTP like characteristic), at some point, Kyung-jun would have found a way to beat the system, like Yoon-seo did by being friends with the NPC. no doubt. the way he planned every move wasn't ENTP like, ENTJ or ESFP like. it was the ultimate intelligent ESTP like plan that failed because of his own qualities (the scene of him banging his arms and chair on the door while screaming, although he knows Da-beom won't open because that's what you do and then waiting to beat him because he is furious and he clearly forgets that time is more important than beating Da-beom is another scene that seals it for me)
