Butcher as an introverted type is very stretchy. He's leader-like, dominant, assertive, strong & has a convincing speech. He literally always comes at you with the strength of a truck and has no reminiscent of an inner world at all—instead, he attaches all of his life worth into looking for his wife. It's challenging to think about him as someone who introspects or is trying to preserve their energy. Y'all need to work on better ways to discern extroverts and introverts. He only "looks ISTP" to you because he's not emotionally open [3E in Psychosophy] and wears black and acts all a$$hole. This is reminiscent of the premise that extroversion is inherently cheerful and talks too much about feelings, which certainly is a mistaken belief. Nonetheless, Butcher is still a very spontaneous person & open about his thoughts. However, the reason why I'm writing this is because of how overwhelming the SP/SX consensus has gotten even though it's undoubtedly wrong if you've actually read subtype takes. The SP instinct focuses attention on and shapes behavior around issues related to «survival & material security», it directs energy toward safety and security concerns, including having enough resources, avoiding danger, etc. This, then, with the passion of lust of an 8, combines and produces the SP8 subtype. This subtype is the most egocentric, dry, cold, and practical 8. Titled «Satisfaction» to hint towards their fixation on what they believe will bring them satisfaction of their needs, and they gobble up what they think they need, often at the expense of filling their real needs. These are the greediest 8s, the ones who only care about material gain. The passion of lust manifests in the voracity of their drive for satisfaction and immediate needs. Now, how does this fit Butcher? Butcher hasn't shown any need for physical gain and stimulation in order to survive. Even worse is that Naranjo characterizes this 8 as the least expressive 8, the most silent one. SP8s are preoccupied with concrete gain & their lust for power and stimulation comes from the insecurity of survival. When it comes to SX8, the subtype has the title «Possession» which implies the attitude and view this subtype has toward others. It’s a possession of others through fascination, rebellion & threat, that is how Lust works in the sexual sphere. This then produces the most shameless, brash, insensitive, loud & emotional 8. As opposed to SP8, which are described as lions who only move when they need to satisfy themselves, the SX8 on the other hand reacts as impulse arises and loves to be the center of attention. They can easily take over the entire scene with their assertiveness & "look at me“ attitude. It’s a dominance to hide weakness and a voraciously antisocial demeanor.
