One current interpretation is that KH1 Riku was a very unhealthy ISFP that eventually matured into a healthy INTJ between Chain of Memories and KH3: Unhealthy ISFP (KH1): Fi- Primarily concerned with his personal feelings regarding the things that matter to him, such as his desire to leave the stifling confines of Destiny Islands and explore the universe, along with being strong enough to protect his childhood friends. Initially very confident and proud of his capabilities, but this is quickly shattered under the weight of his own dubious choices. Se- Very adept at physical combat even from a young age, noted by Sora and Riku regarding their childhood spars. Impulsively opens the door to darkness inside the Destiny Islands grotto in the name of exploring the unknown and rejecting fear of the darkness. Ni- Very poor Ni in KH1, easily led astray by Maleficent and Ansem, actively chooses to antagonize Sora after assuming that Sora forgot about Riku and Kairi despite being aware of Sora's kind and goofy nature for years. Biographie
Sora's best friend and rival. His desire to see something greater beyond his tiny, secluded island home led to him being seduced by the forces of darkness. But once he realizes the harm he's caused, he begins working in the shadows to assist Sora in whatever way possible, eventually wielding his own Keyblade and tempering his inner darkness to channel it for the forces of light.
