PSA for vibe typers: Xavier is quite literally the spitting double of 6 (Haru) from extraordinary you who is very INFP. I love that k drama. Now for my main analysis: So I’m going to say I understand both sides, ISTP and INFP but why INFP wins is his ultimate internal functions. I’ll do a brief summary below and then expand as needed. (Spoilers are ahead since I have almost all myths and 5 star cards) Fi > Ti : Xavier decided to leave the throne immediately and go back in time to save Mc after he found out she (and others) were being sacrificed endlessly to save philos. This is rooted in morals and even though he was cast out by the royal family, his teacher and even some of his friends he didn’t care at all. He made the decision immediately and gave the throne to Mc. (Extra note) it was revealed in the most recent myth that the reason he uses swords is because they came so naturally to him as a child and his mother told him soldiers who wield a sword do so for a reason and he will find his reason. He ends up training with it his whole life with this in mind 😭😭😭 pure belief Ne > Se : Despite being hyper aware and maybe ready to take action he lives his life with a rich mental network where he wonders and basically spends his time making philosophical connections. When in midde school or highschool with MC, he tells her “to reach for freedom is to give up”. Si > Ni : this one is the most blaringly obvious. No one peeps this about ni but it’s like the method of which you may take to do things. If ni was building a boat it will get to your destination but it will likely break right after, if si was building a boat it would be built to survive many trips but it will take longer. People with si are also much more likely to dwell on the past or never get over an experience they had. Xavier met mc, in middle or highschool (I think middle school based on the anecdote) and has waited for her to reincarnate every time she passes. He has denied other women and marriage proposals, mans is 1000’s of years old minimum. Thats some si. The solution he decided to create for Mc wasn’t even to get the rare protocore she needed but instead to go back in time and make sure none of this ever happens (philos and the aether core etc). Te > Fe: Xavier has clear morals which he will pressure upon others as needed. As far as organization goes he usually is late to everything even his job and he also struggled with planning. There was a story where he went on a mission with Mc, she planned everything but they ended up getting stranded 💀. He also knew she planned everything but begged to stay in and sleep 💀💀. After getting stranded, instead of thinking of the quickest way to get back to their hotel, he sat down on a bench and started eating the snacks he brought “in case they get lost” 💀💀💀. Mind you this man has the ability to teleport 😭. In direct opposition to fe ill just say his duties, he doesn’t care about the societies standards for things if he was an ISTP or INTP, most of them wouldn’t care about the moral implications of sacrificing people. They would care about the logical implications of doing so. Logically it makes sense for a society to sacrifice one person for the rest of them to live millions of years, especially if we started with criminals or the super elderly. He also gave up the crown FE for this moral reason. Overall def in love with him so I talked more than I expected to lol. I want to remind everyone of jungians 4 sides of the mind theory which states that INFPs when severely stressed may go into ISTP superego so I can understand the votes.
