I personally see him as an ENTJ. His Ni is quite visible in his first interactions with Watanabe, directly recognizing him as a soulmate for bonding over the same book. He sees the potential in him as a friend and than fully commits to him. His tendency to philosophically reflect on what happens to him also indicates a certain sharpness of intuition. In the beginning it also seems like his whole life is already let out. He has a clear goal about studying law and completly commits to it, but can‘t see another path for him. He is mainly focused on getting things done and achieving his goals in the beginning and is used to commanding others, naturally asserting himself and making others respect him (Te dominant), but he comes to value Watanabe for being honest and even somewhat disrespectful to him, showing a repressed need for earnest emotional relationships and authenticity (inferior Fi).
