This man really feels like an Ni user to me, his beliefs are so solid he becomes arrogant, and startles family members with his occasional insights into the meanings of things, dreams, and what ‘really matters.’ I can understand how his reluctance towards the city and atheism could be an example of Si, but it seems his belief system comes from a belief in how the world should work from a conceptual stand point rather than a practical one, wondering how people in New York have so much money etc, + especially considering his frequent detachment from his external environment and those around him, his miscommunications with them and tendency to come across as ‘morbid.’ He seems slightly less able to gauge what is a ‘normal’ or comfortable thing to say in social situations, which seems indicative of Ni over Si, but hey, i could be wrong🤷♀️
