Having 2 INFJ parents is like having 2 social workers to care for you. Elio must've been living in a jackpot. Both of his parents are so understanding. They are the type of parents we want. Unfortunately, parents are not perfect, but they are unique in their own ways 🥰. Learn to accept them (but if they are abusive then it is a problem, and you need help with it immediately). Sammy Perlman's advice (which is Ni-Fe-Ti at it's finest) at the end of the film is literally what I (or in fact everyone) needed. I know it's just a film, but it can be that powerful. In my place, most parents would hope the whole thing goes way, to pray that their sons land on their feet .But I am not such a parent. In your place, if there is pain, nurse it. And if there is a flam, don't snuff it out. Don't be brutal with it. We rip out so much of ourselves to be cured of things faster, that we go bankrupt by the age of thirty and have less to offer each time we start with someone new. But to make yourself feel nothing so as not to feel anything - what a waste!"
