As a person who read the book until recently, and watched the movie dozens of times (last time was today) I can assure you that Oliver is clearly ENTP, he is a quiet person, despite being most of the time surrounded by people, Oliver is someone who prefers to be alone and is full of solitude, he doesn't show his feelings much (ENFJ people are easy to read, in addition to showing a lot of what they feel) Oliver is spontaneous, like when he danced at the party while Elio watched him, Oliver is charismatic, he naturally wins people over. someone calm, simple, not easily stressed, intelligent. People need to stop stereotyping ENTP as someone who likes to show off, someone who is debauched, even though Oliver shows some debauched humor, even if moderate. ENTPs like to be the center of attention, yes, but some don't, they actually like to demonstrate their knowledge when given the opportunity. Like Oliver debating philology. Oliver is clearly an ENTP, even though he is not the stereotype we are used to, like Megamind and Tony Stark. But I believe he is a more real form of ENTP, at least I identify with him. :)
