I'm going to repost my thoughts from one of the replies from below: This is mostly a hunch, but as mentioned in a previous page, to me this feels like an obvious misdirect by RDJ and the Russos. The real Doom will be played by someone else, and RDJ will be playing a Doom bot who is convinced he is the real deal or a variant. I wouldn't be surprised if the actor playing the real Doom is one of the Dooms disguised on stage. The whole RDJ casting reveal is one giant theatrical stunt by Feige and in a meta sense by Doom himself, since this kind of deception and manipulation is something he would pull in the comics all the time. But again, mostly speculation.
