I think he's too uncompromising in his values in various situations to be an Fe user; a lot of his decisions come down to how he feels and not based on shared values. There are plenty of times others tell Al to leave them behind yet Al refuses because he would never forgive himself. Yes, Type 9 INFPs and ISFJs get confused a lot, but I find Al's Fi and Ne pretty apparent regardless of any Enneagram influence. Whenever Ed gets down and begins losing faith Al reminds him of not abandoning the possibility of finding the philosopher's stone (Aux Ne). In general, his view of seeing himself as a burden seems in-line with Inferior Te. Al has several Inferior Te outbursts and is not afraid to deliver his message in a blunt manner when he’s stressed. Al never showed a fear of different outcomes or considering other perspectives which is associated with Inferior Ne. Post-Lab 5 event: Alphonse demonstrates Fi + Si playing the same event on repeat and has a hyper focus on his identity. In that scenario Al believed that a personal value he established with his brother was violated. He resorts to a Te grip outburst against Ed in the hospital. “What am I supposed to believe in anymore when I’m stuck in this body”. Al was overwhelmed by emotion and had a conviction something didn't feel right so he just had vent his frustrations (inferior Te outburst). ~More in reply~
